• • Whitening products contain one of two tooth bleaches (hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide). These bleaches break stains into smaller pieces, which makes the color less concentrated and your teeth becomes brighter and whiter.

• Chair side bleaching:

  • Chair side bleaching is in office bleaching which requires one visit for approximately 45min -60mins.The concentration of bleach used is more than take home bleaching. Your dentist will isolate your gums using protective barriers and apply bleach to your teeth .Usually your teeth becomes 2to 4 shades whiter. Although the fillings and crown would not change colour.

  • - Sometimes after in chair whitening ,take home bleaching kit is provided for maintainence.

• Take home bleaching:

  • They typically come in a gel form and are placed in a custom fitted tray which are formed by lab from your dental impressions.
